Math: page 395 #1-1, 6-9, 12, 14,15, 18-24; Thursday there is a algebraic quiz.
Geography:Tuesday, May 7th, students should have completed their project on a specialized crop.
Reading: students should be working on the section of their book review that highlights what they liked about their book.


Specialized Crops:  How do they plant, grow, harvest and process certain crops?

Various crops are grown for specific reasons such as building materials, clothing, medicine, food sources, and for aesthetics.  Here are a few examples: cork, hemp, aloe vera, cherries, and orchids.
Step 1:  Choose a plant, tree, fruit, root, vegetable or any product from vegetation.
Step 2:  Explain how the vegetation is planted and its stages of growth.
Step 3:  Tell us how the product is harvested.
Step 4:   Indicate how the product is processed.
Step 5:   Explain how it is transported and how it eventually arrives on your table.
You can use diagrams, short sentences, and arrows to indicate each step of this process.  Be sure to concentrate on a logical flow of ideas for the reader.

Writing: students should have their letter to the editor and their automotive review done for the class newspaper.
Reading: you need to have your summary completed for your book review and you must have your likes or positive reviews for your book.
Geography: complete your specialized crop project for the first week of May.
Oral: master your lines for our play, A Midsummer Night's Dream; this will be performed during the last two weeks of June; parents are invited once the schedule is finalized.
Art: the project is due next week.
Science: the tiny house project is due Tuesday, April the 30th.
Math:  students will simply take up their work today.
Track and field is Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.
Please bring in your $23.00 and your permission form for the science trip to the Ontario Science  Centre on May the 14th.

Writing: work on a letter to the editor regarding a municipal, provincial or federal matter; this is due Thursday and it is another section for your class newspaper.
Oral Presentation: memorize your lines for our class play; students have scripts both at home and at school.
Geography: we will be beginning our next chapter on vegetation.
Art: your project is due April the 25th.
*Submit your art work for the backdrop of our play by Thursday.
*Begin to work on you costume for June's play. 
French: review your work.

Art: students are encouraged to create a drawing that best illustrates our play, A Midsummer Night's Dream; the drawing, if chosen, will be projected and turned into a large mural for the backdrop of our play.
Math: complete the handout or questions #4-10, 12, 14, 16-19.
Reading: for the summary component of your book review; have one to three sentences to record what happened in each chapter of your book.
Writing: the brainstorming and rough copy of your restaurant review must be completed by tomorrow; next week, you are required to have an editorial letter addressed to the mayor or premier of our province.
Science: there is a project due April the 30th and there is a test on April the 16th.
Badminton: there is practice tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m.
Track and field begins after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning next week.
There is a dance tomorrow afternoon.  It costs $4.00 in advance and $5.00 at the door.
